Stakeholder Engagement
Building Trust - Creating Alignment - Delivering Results

Effective stakeholder and community engagement is more than consultation — it’s about building trust, creating genuine connection, and ensuring all voices are heard. I bring over 15 years of experience in culturally responsive engagement across government, private, not-for-profit, and community sectors, including extensive work alongside First Nations communities and leaders.
My work goes beyond simply “informing” stakeholders. I design and deliver engagement processes that:
-
Foster meaningful relationships built on respect and trust.
-
Unite diverse perspectives into a shared vision.
-
Facilitate open, solutions-focused dialogue.
-
Ensure stakeholder voices shape decision-making.

Skills & Expertise
I specialise in:
-
First Nations engagement – respectful, culturally grounded approaches that prioritise listening, learning, and long-term relationships.
-
Co-design and collective impact – facilitating processes that bring diverse groups together to co-create solutions and strategies.
-
Strategic engagement planning – aligning engagement activities with organisational objectives and stakeholder needs.
-
Human-centred engagement methods – including story collection, extensive surveys, and strategic connection points.
-
High-level facilitation – guiding complex conversations towards clarity and consensus.

Approach
I bring the ability to listen deeply to a 'position' or 'brief' while still designing and delivering stakeholder engagement processes that create exceptional value. My work is grounded in connection, trust, and purpose, enabling me to navigate sensitive issues with professionalism and cultural awareness.

I take the time to understand the context, people, and underlying challenges, ensuring my approach is both inclusive and culturally responsive. This allows me to create safe spaces where genuine participation can happen, even in complex or high-stakes settings.

By balancing strategic thinking with human connection, I ensure every engagement is not only well-planned and aligned to organisational objectives, but also builds relationships, fosters shared ownership and achieves meaningful outcomes.
My experience in Stakeholder & Community Engagement is broad and diverse. Reach out to see if SHIFT can meet your needs.

Arkellah, I have enjoyed the collaboration that we have shared over the past 12 months. We have created important steps in the right direction in educating passionate horse owners about making informed and sensible decisions in the event of a bushfire.
